7. Account & Data Deletion
Every user can delete their account and data at any moment. Here's how the deletion process works:
90-Day Grace Period
Request Deletion
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account to initiate deletion.
Grace Period Begins
Your account is immediately deactivated, but your data is preserved for 90 days.
Recovery Window
During these 90 days, you can restore your account and all your data by logging back in.
Permanent Deletion
After 90 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.
Why 90 days? We've seen users accidentally delete accounts or change their minds. This grace period protects you from permanent data loss while ensuring your data is eventually fully removed if that's your choice.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption in transit – All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Encryption at rest – Sensitive data encrypted in our databases
- Secure authentication – Passwords hashed with bcrypt, JWT tokens for sessions

9. Children's Privacy
Moodergy is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.
